Wash Your Brain With What You Want

This piece was inspired by Daniel Evan Laukat's "Playing god".

Several screenshots of foreign tv channels are mixed with a wooden texture and several scratchy brushes.

This is complementary to my photography series called "Limpiarse el cerebro" (washing the brain), in which I focus on the human inactivity in front of any screen.

(For the non-geeks of you, the title is inspired by popular acronym WYSIWYG "What You See Is What You Get")

Just after watching a TV add about domestic violence.
I remembered that I have a picture similar to the one showed.

No woman were hurt during the process :)
Wounds and stitches are provided by Aniar and trisste Photoshop brushes.

Concerts

I've made up a new series of photographs about a french rock band (Les Nouveaux Héros) that I follow for 3 years now.
I've picked one, put it in black and white and designed a poster for their upcoming concerts in France.

J'ai mis en ligne une nouvelle série de photos d'un groupe de rock français (Les Nouveaux Héros) que je suis depuis plus de 3 ans.
J'en ai transformée une en affiche noir et blanc pour leurs prochains concerts.

Innocence

There was a UNICEF/UNESCO campaign with a quote from chilean writer that touched me. As I feel concerned about all the perils that can happen to an innocent human being, I thought it would be useful to make some sort of poster.
Neglecting can occur to anyone, anywhere, anytime, in any step of the social scale. Being a parent is a responsability for life ! Of all the families I've met, man of them didn't think twice before having a baby.
It's not a toy, or a doll, or a pet, or something you can let live without you. It's an every minute work.

J'ai aperçu un jour une campagne UNICEF ou UNESCO avec une citation d'une auteure chilienne qui m'a beaucoup marquée. Me sentant concernée par tout ce qui peut arriver à un être innocent, j'ai pensé utile de créer une sorte d'affiche.
La négligence arrive à n'importe qui, n'importe quand, n'importe où, dans n'importe quelle classe sociale. Etre parent est une responsabilité à vie. De toute les familles que j'ai pu connaitre, bien peu ont réfléchi à deux fois avant d'avoir un enfant.
Un bébé n'est pas un jouet, une poupée ou un animal de compagnie que l'on peut laisser dans un coin. C'est un effort de chaque instant.

Light on

Here is a digital creation, inspired by "tsrmkart - pampero" by Awakeone on Deviantart.
I had just taken the picture of the lamp in a cafe, so I thought I could do a similar piece.
But it was a challenge to get the right texture, and not destroy too much of the original image (9 layers in Photoshop !).

Voici une création numérique inspirée d'une affiche vue sur deviantart.
Je venais justement de prendre une photo de cette lampe et j'ai pensé que je pourrais reprendre le concept.
Ce ne fut pas si facile d'obtenir une bonne texture sans dénaturer complètement l'image d'origine (9 calques dans Photoshop !).
